The Mossawa Center, the Advocacy Center for Arab Citizens in Israel, is seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to join our team as a full-time Resource Development and International Advocacy Coordinator based in Haifa. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in our mission to advocate for the rights of Palestinian citizens of Israel by fostering strong donor relationships and facilitating international advocacy efforts.
:Job Description
Donor Engagement: Cultivate and maintain relationships with local and international donors, ensuring ongoing communication and engagement
Donor Expansion: Identify, research, and correspond with new donors and foundations abroad to establish and nurture relationships for future fundraising initiatives
Financial Management: Oversee the tracking of donations, correspondence, and receipts, including the creation and management of annual forecasts
Marketing Support: Collaborate on the creation of marketing and promotional materials, such as newsletters and holiday mailings, to effectively communicate the organization's mission and impact
Advocacy Relations: Establish and maintain connections with contacts in various embassies to advocate on behalf of Palestinian citizens of Israel
International Advocacy Planning: Collaborate with decision-makers and supporters abroad to strategize and plan advocacy tours within the EU and the US
Reporting and Proposal Writing: Compile comprehensive reports on ongoing projects and contribute to the development of new project proposals
:Job Requirements
Experience: 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in resource development or a related field
Language Skills: Fluency in written and verbal communication in English, Arabic, and Hebrew is preferred
Sales Acumen: Exceptional sales skills with the ability to initiate and manage contact with existing and potential donors through cold phone calls
Mission Alignment: Strong identification with the organization's mission and commitment to human rights
Communication Skills: Outstanding communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Office applications, MailChimp, and Canva for efficient document and marketing material creation
Strategic Thinker: Ability to think creatively, critically, and initiate innovative approaches to resource development and advocacy
Government Understanding: Familiarity with current local, national, and international government systems
