Mossawa Center- the Advocacy Center for Arab Citizens in Israel would like to congratulate Hany Abu Assad and the cast of brilliant actors on his Oscar nomination for "Omar," the first Palestinian funded film. 

The Mossawa Center continues to encourage the development and strengthening of culture in the Palestinian community, as it is one of the most important tools for the strengthening of human rights and advocacy.  We will continue to work on escalating and encouraging culture actors and organizations to create and produce with the goal of making a worldwide impact and spreading their message.
