Haifa 18/6/2015. Early Thursday morning fire fighters arrived on the scene of the Church of the Multiplication. It stands where Christians believe Jesus performed the miracle of loaves and fish. The fire gutted the church and police suspect arson due to the grafitti found at the scene condemning Idol worship.
The Mossawa Center condemns this hateful act of aggression against the church. We call on Israeli police to conduct a swift and thorough investigation. The perpetrators of this act of violence must be caught and held accountable for their actions.
