The Mossawa Center also engages in international advocacy to promote the rights of the Palestinian Arab minority in Israel. The international community is generally unaware of the degree to which Arab Palestinian citizens of Israel face discrimination. Nonetheless, the Mossawa Center sees the international community as integral in its struggle for equality, human rights, justice, and peace.
Through its international advocacy, the Mossawa Center seeks to raise international awareness of discrimination, institutionalized racism, and public incitement that is faced by Palestinian Arab citizens of Israel on a daily basis. It also seeks to increase recognition of the importance of the Palestinian Arab minority in promoting the conditions necessary for peace-building.
The Mossawa Center’s international advocacy is directed towards international embassies, political decision-makers, most notably in the European Union and the United States, international organizations and institutions, international media outlets, and research institutions, as well as the grassroots.
The Mossawa Center regularly gives lectures to visiting groups. If you would be interested in learning more about the Palestinian Arab minority in Israel, please contact [email protected].
